With a little help from a local music legend, Boisdale says it is planning to revolutionise Canary Wharf's live entertainment market.

As well as claiming the world's largest whisky bar, a cigar smoking terrace and fine Scottish dining, the venue, which is due to open in premises above Cabot Place mall on April 18, is also aiming to bring crowds flocking to its music hall.

Leading names from the music world are set to descend on Greenwich's Old Royal Naval College to celebrate the history of one of London's most visited destinations.

The four open-air music events, all themed around the town's past, will help mark the area's role as a host borough for the London Olympics.
