A MOTORIST had a lucky escape after a roundabout crash at Heron Quays sent his car flipping into the air.
The man was driving a grey Vauxhall Astra around the Heron Quays roundabout at about 10.15am on Friday (February 29) when he was involved in a collision with a black Mercedes S320. Officers at the scene reported that when the cars collided the Vauxhall clipped the kerb, flipped into the air and landed at the mouth of the Marsh Wall junction.
The black car, driven by a man in his fifties, had moved off from the junction on Heron Quays. The driver of the Astra, a man in his twenties, suffered only minor injuries, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Further details were requested last month on how developers would minimise the impact of construction. The finished building would house retail and office space in towers of 12, 21 and 33 storeys.
