The landlord of the Greenwich Playhouse denied its decision not to renew Galleon Theatre Company's lease was provoked by an intention to "exploit commercial opportunities" arising from the Olympics.

Beds and Bars said it had no plans to change the entertainment venue and merely wanted to run it itself.
