Glenn Hoddle has never been short of an opinion or two and the former England manager believes his latest project could inject new life into the beautiful game.

Hoddle, 52, was at the London Soccerdome in Greenwich on Monday to launch F40 football, a new concept which its creators hope will do for soccer what 20/20 has done for cricket.

The David Beckham Academy has been reborn as the London Soccerdome.

The former England captain closed his football school in North Greenwich last month and doubt surrounded the future of the venue, which is due to be demolished after the 2012 Olympics.
