When artist James Husbands was looking for a venue for his new exhibition he knew Canary Wharf would be the perfect match.

His series, Sporting Greats, opened at First Edition in Cabot Square this week, and Husbands was keen to bring his work to an area he loves.

A childhood brush with a football icon has inspired a part-time artist to stage a charity exhibition in Canary Wharf.

The artist, who goes by the name of Popkin, has 17 paintings on display at First Edition in Cabot Square, which he hopes will be sold to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund for cancer research.
