Photos of a brutal gang attack at East India Dock Road have been released by police in a bid to catch the attackers.

The serious assault took place in a food store at about 1.40am on January 22 this year. A 17-year-old man was hit over the head with a bottle while being attacked by three men.

Police appeal over Poplar incidents

Police are asking for information regarding three incidents near Poplar over the weekend, one which left a man with a broken leg.

It began on Saturday at 4pm in the afternoon, near the Will Crooks Estate by Poplar High Street, when a dispute between youths led to one of them being hit by a car.

A Brazilian man illegally in the UK has been sent to prison for six years after torturing a woman.

Andre Scoz fled when the 32-year-old victim was found naked, bound and covered in burns after falling from a second floor window in East India Dock Road last April.
