Fact will collide with fiction when the Olympic Torch Relay visits Albert Square next year.

The home of BBC soap EastEnders will feature on the route taken by the Olympic flame, when it will be carried by the Billy Mitchell character through the streets of Walford on July 23.

EastEnders stars packed out a Greenwich pub on Friday to celebrate the wedding of cast member John Partridge.

Partridge who plays Christian Clarke in the soap tied the knot with his partner of eight years Jon Tsouras at the Trafalgar Tavern in Park Row.

She couldn't resist telling her audience to "get out of my pub" but the Queen Vic Barbara Windsor dropped into this morning (June 9) was a long way from Albert Square.

The Eastender was in Poplar to open the Royal British Legion Wing of the Queen Victoria Seaman's Rest on East India Dock Road.
