Cash rewards will be on offer in a new scheme launched by Newham Council to reduce gun and knife crime in the borough.

The Council will work with Crimestoppers to offer at least a £150 reward to anyone providing information about gun or knife-related crime that leads to an arrest and charge.

Police investigating the murder of Vitalijs Janovics in Bermondsey last Friday have released CCTV images showing him just before he was fatally stabbed.
