Paper and Cup in St Paul's Way Centre in Mile End is hoping to capitalise on the transformation of the E3 site and incoming 'young affluents'.

Canary Wharf commuters received a Monday morning caffeine boost with the attempt to break the world record for the biggest cup of coffee.

taylor st142.JPGFed up with being unable to get a cup of coffee in London to meet their high standards, Australian siblings Andrew, Laura and Nick Tolley launched Taylor Street Baristas.

This month they brought their brand, established in 2006, to Canary wharf.

If you're anything like me, you'll turn up at the counter of any of the innumerable coffee chains on the Wharf, bark a series of weird codewords at the person serving (sorry, barista after they've been called to the espresso machine) and wait with some impatience until finally you're handed a cardboard cup with a plastic lid.
