West Ham's takeover saga has finally drawn to a close.

The Irons have confirmed that a deal has been completed giving former Birmingham City owners David Sullivan and David Gold a 50 per cent stake in the club.

David Gold and David Sullivan are reported to have made an offer to buy West Ham this afternoon.

The pair, previously owners of Birmingham City, are thought to have made a "nominal" offer with a view to buying the club outright at a later date.

The future of West Ham has been secured after it was announced this morning that the club has been sold.

CB Holdings, majority owned by Iceland's Straumur-Burdaras bank, completed the purchase of the Hammers from former owner Bjorgulfor Gudmunsson for an undisclosed fee.
