The Lions came down to earth with a bump after losing to Barnsley 2-0 on Tuesday night, letting the Yorkshire outfit complete the double over us.

Even new loan striker Rob Hulse could not help us to find the net.

Things have taken a dramatic change for the better for The Lions after beating League Two strugglers Dagenham and Redbridge 5-0 in the FA Cup third round replay and then getting a vital 3-1 win at Barnsley in the League last Saturday.

As much as you want to win every game you play, sometimes it's best to get that first defeat of the season out of the way.

Charlton got their first point in nine away matches after drawing 0-0 with relegation rivals Barnsley on Saturday.

In a match that few would describe as a thriller, the Tykes were booed off the pitch by their fans after being frustrated by the Addicks.
