Shell is in negotiations with Canary Wharf Group to relocate to Docklands for the next 10 years.

The petrol giant, which is currently based near Waterloo, is hoping to move to 40 Bank Street when it starts redeveloping its current offices next year.

LEHMAN Brothers staff are “upbeat� after a deal which could save up to 2,000 jobs in Canary Wharf.

Japanese investment bank Nomura snapped up the company’s investment banking and equities divisions on Tuesday for a nominal fee believed to be $2.

DUBAI developer Damac is looking to move its British headquarters from Canary Wharf to West London.

The firm only opened its office at 40 Bank Street just over six months ago. But it has reportedly already “outgrown� the site, and plans to expand it and convert it into a dedicated sales centre instead.

Its decision is part of a wider consolidation plan in the British Isles. Offices in Glasgow, Southampton, Birmingham and Dublin will be closed as showrooms in Manchester, Leicester and Chiswick are extended.
