West Ham are looking to sign Manchester United’s goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard on loan.

According to the Daily Mail the Hammers are looking for a short term cover to replace stopper Adrian who was given a red card during their 2-1 defeat against Leicester on Saturday, August 15.

The Spaniard has been banned for three matches following the sending off, spurring Slaven Bilic to launch a search for an experienced gloveman to replace their number one.

The Red Devils have apparently said the 31-year-old is allowed to leave on a free transfer, which is little surprise as the Danish international has played second fiddle to David De Gea since his 2010 arrival at Old Trafford.

West Ham have also discussed the possibility of signing former Iron Robert Green from QPR, but it seems his higher price has pushed the club to favour Lindegaard instead.
