Brentford striker Andre Gray is the latest name to be thrown into the transfer hat at West Ham .

The club are reportedly considering the Bees striker in their quest to find a front man with both Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia currently out injured.

Slaven Bilic is keen to snap up a strong striker before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, September 1 – but to get Gray the Hammers’ boss may have to stump up more than £7million.

Brentford have rejected three bids from Championship rivals Hull City and Derby and Bristol City have also been looking to nab him from the Bees.

Although Gray has two years remaining on his contract at Griffin Park boss Marinus Dijkhuizen has said he would let him go if the price was right.

He told The Mirror : “Andre Gray showed what an asset he is to us and I am desperate to keep him. But sometimes money talks and it is not in my hands."
