West Ham have reportedly rekindled their interest in Brazilian centre-half Douglas.

The Dynamo Moscow defender was reportedly close to joining the Hammers while playing for FC Twente in 2013, but chose instead to move to Russia.

However, the 27-year-old has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Inter Milan and Galatasaray this summer, with the Hammers said to be in close competition for his signature .

Galatasaray were said to be after Spurs centre back Vlad Chiraces, but the Romanian now looks set for Napoli, leaving the Turkish side poised to make their move for Douglas.

This could well prompt Slaven Bilic to show his hand sooner rather than later.

Despite being Brazilian-born, Douglas has a Dutch passport and has spoken of his desire to represent Holland at international level.
