– Bournemouth have rejected at £25million bid from West Ham for striker Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie. Co-owner David Sullivan said the club had about £30million to spend and were targeting English club players but Bournemouth insisted they were preparing to consolidate after successfully staying in the Premier League.
– The Hammers’ quest to nail down a big name striker received another blow with claims that a £31million bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette have also been rejected. But the club continues to move down the list and are said to have resumed interest in unsettled Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.
– Meanwhile the player whose name was on everyone’s lips at the start of the season has reportedly rejected the chance to move with West Ham to the Olympic Stadium. Reece Oxford, seen as the best academy prospect since Rio Ferdinand has turned down another contract, although it would take £10million to prise the 17-year-old from the club who is under contract until 2018.
