West Ham are prepared to break the bank to bring Europa League winning Sevilla manager Unai Emery to east London.

While other big names have fallen away, the Spaniard is emerging as the favourite, at least in the boardroom, although Slaven Bilic is being kept on simmer. He has now confirmed he will be leaving Besiktas.

Emery won the Europa League in Warsaw last week, making it twice in a row and it is those credentials that have made him a top choice not only for West Ham but other European clubs, including Napoli. Sevilla can also offer him Champions League football.

Which is why it is understood that a deal worth more than £3million will be on the table when the two parties sit down to talk in London (although Emery does not speak English).

The 43-year-old will be tempted by a big transfer pot, the chance to take the team to the Olympic Stadium and an unlikely return into the Europa League, through West Ham's fair play qualification.

Names that have come and gone include David Moyes, Rafa Benitez, Carlo Ancellotti and Eddie Howe.
