Charlton have made their seventh signing of the summer by landing defender Naby Sarr from Sporting Lisbon for an undisclosed fee.
Whether the Addicks have joined the big money spenders in the Championship is hard to tell as much of their business has been “undisclosed”.

But their rivals for promotion continue a growing tradition of spending big to bid for the endless riches of the Premier League.
Middlesbrough took Stewart Downing from West Ham for £5million, the biggest deal so far. But that could be topped if the north east side snap up Jordan Rhodes for £12million – the second time Rhodes would be the Championship’s most expensive.
He first broke the division’s transfer record when Blackburn paid Huddersfield Town a reported £8million for his services back in 2012.
Before that transfer the record stood at “just” £5million when Leicester City prised Matt Mills away from Reading in 2011.
The Championship’s transfer record was smashed last season though when Fulham paid £11million for Leeds United forward Ross McCormack.
The McCormack deal was the first time that the £10m barrier had been broken by a club in England’s second tier.
Unsurprisingly, Championship transfer fees are relatively low when compared to the Premier League.

There have only been eight occasions where a team from the division has paid £5million or more for a player.
The McCormack and Rhodes deals top the pile and are followed by the £5.5million that Nottingham Forest reportedly paid Peterborough for Britt Assombalonga in 2014.
The recent £5million deal that brought Downing back to Boro is joined by Cardiff’s 2014 signing of Bruno Ecuele Manga, Blackpool’s 2013 signing of Matt Phillips, Leicester’s 2011 signing of Matt Mills and Manchester City’s capture of Jamie Macken as far back as 2002.
