Manchesters City and United both had more Premier League games shown live on UK television this season than any other side.

Both City and United had 26 of their league matches broadcast live in the UK this season, which works out as 68 per cent of their fixtures.

With 25 of their league games shown live this season Liverpool and Arsenal have the joint third highest number of live games in the league.

Chelsea, the eventual champions, were only the fifth most broadcast side in the division.

The second highest scorers in the league (73 in total) had just 24 of their league games beamed live into UK households and pubs.

That is six more than the next most broadcast team though, Newcastle, who had 19 of their league fixtures shown live.

The Magpies are followed by Tottenham (18), Everton (17), and Southampton (13). West Ham were firmly mid-table with 12 live games shown.

Hull had the fewest league games televised live in the UK. Just seven of the Tigers’ league games this season were shown live.

Both Leicester and Burnley had eight games televised, and Stoke had nine.
