England cricketer Matt Prior hit a six on the cycle track as his ONE Pro team secured a win in the Canary Wharf leg of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series.

The racing event whipped the estate into a frenzy, with crowds lining the streets to witness some of the country’s top bikers battle it out.

They sped between east London's towers in what was the eighth stage of 10.

One PRO Cycling’s success means the team moves within one point of the series lead - currently held by Madison Genesis - with two rounds to go.

Meanwhile Australian Criterium Champion Steele Von Hoff scooped individual glory, pedalling hard to head home Ed Clancy and Chris Opie in the final sprint.

Highlights of the Canary Wharf leg will be shown at 10pm on ITV 4 on June 5, with a repeat at 9.55am on June 6.

The nine Pearl Izumi teams complete the competition in Bath on Thursday, June 11.
