Millwall have played down talk of the possible departure of Mark Beevers after Bradford City announced they’d had a bid accepted for a central defender.
Transfer rumours: Could Adebayor yet be heading for West Ham?
The Bradford Telegraph and Argus reported the west Yorkshire club have had a bid of “£150,000-£250,000” for an unnamed centre-half, who is currently in talks with the Bantams over a move.
Speculation has been rife in Bradford as to who the mystery man is, with the consensus being it could be one of either Beevers or Shrewsbury centre back Connor Goldson.
But the South London Press reported that a Millwall club insider insisted 25-year-old Beevers is focused on getting the club back into the Championship.
They said: “Mark is as committed to Millwall as ever.
“Everyone knows he is under contract and he has shown how much he loves this club with his performances last year and this season.”
Beevers is no stranger to Valley Parade, having been sent off for bringing down James Hanson during Bradford’s 4-0 FA Cup demolition of the Lions back in December 2014.
