Millwall are looking to sign former Sky Blues defender Jermaine Grandison according to Mirror Sport.

He left City for Shrewsbury in February 2011 for a nominal fee after failing to break into the first-team with just five appearances for the club.

Grandison has since become a key member of the Shrews’ side and helped them to promotion to League One last season.

However, he’s rejected a new contract and is a free agent for the new season despite continuing to train with his former side.

The Lions are now looking to snare the powerful defender who had been previously been linked with move to Birmingham City earlier this summer.

So far this summer, boss Harris’s only acquisitions have been former Millwall teammates Steve Morrison and Tony Craig.

The club has been installed as third favourite for promotion from League One with most bookmakers.
