He said: “Pre-season has been going well and the gaffer – Neil Harris – has got us all working hard.

“Now the friendly games are coming up it’s got us working on the technical side and we’re looking forward to the start of the season.

“When the new gaffer came in there was a massive buzz around the stadium and the fans pushed us on.

“Hopefully they will do that again this year and it’s a massive boost when they get behind us.

“Last year the team was chopped and changed and it was difficult to get a run going but hopefully that’s not going to happen this year.

“My target is to score more goals – that’s what I want to achieve this season.

“I’ve got a target for myself and I’ve written it down.”
