Millwall were emphatically cut adrift from the rest of the Championship with another home defeat, this time by promotion contenders Norwich.
The Lions are now eight-points from safety after their fourth straight Championship defeat losing 4-1 to the Canaries.
The consolation penalty late on from Lee Gregory managed to salvage some vestiges of respectability but for much of the game the south Londoners were overrun.
The four goals mean that Norwich have put 10 past Millwall in their two encounters, having won 6-1 at Carrow Road on Boxing Day.
Millwall are now without a win at the Den for 12 games although for much of the first half they appeared bright but the first Jonny Howson goal deflated the home resolve and allowed the rout to begin.
