Millwall captain Tony Craig could be out for the season after undergoing knee surgery.

TC had the operation after picking up an injury during the 0-0 draw with Bradford City in November.

He suffered the injury while making a brave block on a thunderous Devante Cole strike from the edge of the penalty area, and will spend several weeks in a brace.

Lions physio Bobby Bacic said: “Tony underwent surgery on his left knee last week.

“The surgeon undertook a detailed procedure which involved repairing both ligaments and muscles.

“Tony will remain on crutches and in a brace for six weeks to begin with and his is classed as a long-term injury.

“If Tony returns before the end of the season we will regard this as a bonus.”
