Millwall have reduced Charlton's ticket allocation for the south-east London derby on Easter Friday.
Addicks fans will have just the upper tier for the match after the Lions made the decision for security reasons.
Charlton have previously had fans in both the upper and lower sections of the north stand of The Den.
Trouble marred the fixture two seasons ago when Charlton fans broke seats and flares were thrown on to the pitch.
However, last year's match passed without incident.
Charlton said Millwall had originally given them 3,003 seats for the upcoming match.
A statement on the Addicks' website said: "Millwall informed the club on Tuesday that due to security reasons Charlton will now only receive the upper tier of the away stand.
"This change will see the away allocation reduced to 2,017.
"The club understands supporters will be disappointed by this announcement, but have no control over the situation and have made Millwall aware of its frustrations."
