Charlton Athletic star Ademola Lookman has been scouted by Arsenal at the European Under-19 championships.

The Premier League side has sent over scouts to watch the 18-year-old during his performances at the competition in Germany, according to News Shopper.

Lookman has started two of England’s three games at the tournament and is touted as a future main player for the senior international team.

His England side will play Italy in the semi final on Thursday, July 21 for a place in the final against Portugal or France.

The youngster clocked up 23 appearances and scored five goals for the Addicks during their disappointing campaign last season, which saw them relegated to League One.

The news comes after Burnley have reportedly signed Charlton goalkeeper Nick Pope after the Addicks accepted a bid for around £1million.

It is also understood that Burnley are set to recruit Charlton winger Johann Gudmundsson for around £2.5million.
