Charlton’s travelling fans face late bedtimes in the New Year thanks to the Championship’s midweek games.
There are 29 Championship matches scheduled to kick-off on or after 19:45 between the start of 2016 and the end of February – the Addicks have two long round trips with away fans getting back after midnight if they plan on taking the roads according to journey times calculated using Google Maps.
The worst affected club are Cardiff whose fans face not getting back to the city until 2.31am after the Bluebirds’ away trip to Middlesbrough on Tuesday, February 23.
Charlton’s fans face not getting home until 2.08am following their away trip to Preston on the same day. On January 12 fans won’t be home until the early hours on a round trip to Huddersfield.

Leeds travel to Brighton for a televised game on Monday, February 29 which won’t see the club’s fans get back to the Yorkshire city until 2.08am.
Middlesbrough fans won’t get back to the Teesside town until 2.07am after their away trip to Brentford on Tuesday, January 12, while Cardiff’s fans won’t get back until 2.02am following their away trip to Hull on the same day.
To calculate the figures we used Google Maps’ direction service. Two hours was allowed between the match kick-off and departure time. The journeys used were between the two clubs’ grounds.
