Prince Regent
History: This area can boast one of the largest pubs built on the docks, now called the Fox Connaught but originally the Connaught Tavern.
Station: The station has lots of steps but don't let that put you off. It has plenty of seats and you can check up on the progress of the extension to Excel while you wait for your train.
What's there: The old tree stump by the entrance to The Fox was used until 1985 by dockers as a platform from which to address large meetings. At one time the grounds outside the pub boasted a Grade II listed Victorian iron urinal. The Rotunda, as it was known, has been removed and restored and is currently awaiting a home.
