A collection of 26 one and two-bedroom shared ownership properties have gone on sale at the Stratford High Street development. Family Mosaic, the housing association that is marketing the properties, is keen to stress the ongoing legacy of the 2012 Games meaning residents will have easy access to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as well as the various amenities provided by the east London branch of Westfield.
Chief among the concerns of those considering making a purchase however, will be Stratford’s already impressive array of transport links including both DLR and Jubilee line routes to Canary Wharf.
Come December 2018 however and Crossrail will slash journey times still further.
When the Liz line gets going, impatient commuters will no longer have to wait 10 minutes to arrive at Canary Wharf but only eight.
And what sort of money will Wharfers have to part with to enjoy such privileges?
Prices at Stratford High Street start at £97,500 for a 30% share of a one-bedroom apartment based on a full value of £375,000, provided you’re eligible for the scheme.
For that buyers get a gaffe with oak laminate wood flooring in the living areas and carpeting in the bedrooms.
One-beds have fitted wardrobes while two-beds enjoy en suite bathrooms for the master.
The properties also feature balconies with views of the Olympic Stadium on the northern side.
Kitchens have white gloss units with Antique Messina worktops and are fitted with fully integrated appliances including Zanussi ovens, ceramic hobs, fridge-freezers, washer-dryers and dishwashers.
