Estate agency Metro Village has given itself a fresh coat of paint in celebration of its continued growth.
Company director Ching Tang said professionalism and fun were the core values of her firm and that was reflected in the new-look of the estate agent’s Canada Water base.
Gone is the lively, bold as brass red, blue and white branding in favour of chic purple and slate grey shades.
Interiors include a violet ottoman, purple tinged lighting and a fluffy cream carpet - but this eight-strong group of sales and lettings negotiators hasn’t lost its personality in the re-vamped colour palette.
The re-launch party, on Thursday, August 20, sparkled with Champagne, a red carpet and even a Chinese dragon.
“The office has retained the character and bubbly personalities of the team and what we stand for,” said Ching.
“We didn’t want it to be clinical and polished – we want it to be warm and inviting so people can come in and feel comfortable.
“Our colours were red, blue and white and we wanted to tone it down so we went for deeper shades.
“The brand’s grown up – we started five years ago – and this shows we can grow and change to meet expectations, to stay at the top level of the market.”
So what was the secret behind the re-vamp – an artistic masterplan, perhaps? In reality, it was practicality, and the need for extra desk space.
Starting out with a vision for a simple, L-shaped workspace grew into something much more when Ching enlisted the efforts of an interior designer. And she hopes the look will turn the heads of potential clients in what she admitted was a patch “swarming” with estate agents.
“Hopefully this will make us stand out – we hope to attract new and different clients,” she said
“It’s like when you re-brand a shampoo, you’re hoping to re fresh it and grab more attention for people who might not have noticed before.
“But for our existing customers it’s something new too and will help us build on that business.
“It’s been very well received, people feel it’s a lot more sophisticated.”
