The first phase of homes at Notting Hill Sales' Royal Albert Wharf development is set to be launched. A marketing suite for the collection of East End properties, comprising one, two and three-bedroom flats and duplexes, will be unveiled on Thursday, March 10.
The first phase of the Royal Docks scheme comprises 350 homes split into 123 for private sale, 73 for private rent and 154 for a mixture of shared ownership and affordable rentals. Prices start at £330,000.
Chief executive of Notting Hill Housing Kate Davies said: "Rooted in an historic part of London, which is now receiving a great deal of investment, we are confident this area will provide a great place to live over the next few years.
"Royal Albert Wharf will have great connectivity, jobs, education and a range of homes to suit different needs and pockets."
The whole development will provide more than 1,500 homes and in excess of 8,000sq m of mixed use, non-residential space all designed by Maccreanor Lavington Architects.
The firm's Akay Zorlu said: "Royal Albert Wharf has a truly charismatic character, which we were keen to respond to within the master plan.
"The vast open spaces, long views and varied landscapes are connected by a robust architecture, which has been carefully scaled to fit within this ex-industrial context.
"New homes have been designed using a selection of textured bricks, with large recessed windows to flood interiors with light, deep balconies to allow residents their own private outdoor space and special metalwork detailing to give each building its own individual character."
The development is bordered on three sides by water with the Thames to the east, Royal Albert Dock to the west and a lock to the south. It is located within 10 minutes of London City Airport for those who enjoy aviation and is five minutes' walk from Gallions Reach DLR with services to Canary Wharf taking a further 17 minutes.
Residents will also have easy access to the London Regatta Centre, fitness facilities at the University of East London's Sports Dock and watersports at Royal Victoria Dock as well as international conference and exhibition centre Excel.
