A rapidly-growing London estate agency has promised to bring a personal touch to selling and renting homes after setting up shop near Canary Wharf .

My London Home, which already has branches in Westminster and Embankment, recently opened an office in Beaufort Court to deal with its growing property portfolio in east London.

Heading up the operation will be sales and lettings director Christian Thomas.

After working his way up in the corporate side of estate agency Currell’s, Christian was keen for a return to the cut-and-thrust of the industry before getting his latest job.

“I missed being an estate agent,” he said. “I know that is probably not something people say often, but I really wanted to have a property portfolio to look after.

“I am really interested in property around Canary Wharf.

“It has always been an exciting place to be, now even more so.”

He believes what sets My London Home apart from other agencies is the personal approach its agents take, claiming many bigger firms lose sight of this in their pursuit of profit margins and targets.

He said: “If you put the focus on the customer, provide them with the best level of service possible and treat them as equals, it is all very easy to do.

“I think it comes down to what you are all about and we just want to make a really positive customer experience.”

As for the firm’s ambitions in the area, Christian said part of its mission was to convey the excitement of living in E14.

“We deal with the full range of property in My London Home ,” he said. “We want to do the same in and around Canary Wharf.

“People assume this is a dull place to live, but there is so much going on here and it will become even busier over the next five years. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?”
