The event will feature question and answer panels with the game’s developers and stars and some announcements about future game developments.

Plans for a new “story mode” have been the talk of the Minecraft universe, and fans will be able to get a first glimpse of the narrative-driven game.

Some of Minecraft’s Youtube A-listers, such as Stampy, The Diamond Minecart and Captain Sparklez, will also take part in the event on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5.

The customary costume competition will also take place, with prizes for the best Minecraft-themed mock-ups.

Tickets will set fans back £129, for which they also receive a free cape on arrival.

Organisers have announced the event’s schedule online.

The game has sold more than 70million copies over all devices since its launch in 2009.
