Canary Wharf Tube station is the place to be if you’re looking for love, according to dating app Happn.

The matchmaker service, which alerts users when they are within 250m of each other, looked at thousands of ‘crossed paths’ at London Underground stations to discover the best places to bump into a date.

And maybe surprisingly (depending on your dating success within the financial district) Canary Wharf topped the list by a long way - showing that single people here are twice as likely to find others looking for a match than anywhere else on the Tube map.

The research found that the next place with the most matches is in the City at Liverpool Street.

“It seems that bankers are on the lookout for love,” a Happn spokesman said.
