Deciding what to do with your day can be problematic so we’ve come up with three ideas to make Canary Wharf life more pleasant.

1. Have a laugh

Head over to Bethnal Green’s Backyard Comedy club to see Foster’s Best Newcomer nominated sketch troupe Gein’s Family Giftshop and one-man skit-machine Goose present this Sunday night gig. Tickets cost £5.

Backyard Comedy Club, Bethnal Green, 6.45pm.

2. Check in...

Heartbreak Hotel, an “Immersive hotel experience”, will take place at the Jetty in Grenwich. Fortune tellers, magicians and complex storylines will all be involved in an unusual take on performance art. Tickets cost £10-£20.

The Jetty, Greenwich, 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

3. ...Check out (the suits!)

Speaking of Heartbreak Hotel, if you’re prepared to be “all shook up”, you may want to head down to The O2, and cast your eye over hundreds of items of Elvis memorabilia. Items are all on loan from the Graceland estate. Tickets cost £9-£20.

The O2, Greenwich, opens 10am.
