Deciding what to do with your day can be problematic so we’ve come up with three ideas to make Canary Wharf life more pleasant.

1. Get classical

Taking a leaf out of the Ancient Greeks’ book, the Roof Garden Players present Creatures of Prometheus, putting their own theatrical twist on some classic myths, dusting off the legends and giving them a 21st century retelling. Attendance is free.

Crossrail Place, 2pm.

2. Swing into action

One of the top swing and jump-blues bands on the London scene Blue Harlem will be doing their thing with vocalist Sophie Shaw at Boisdale of Canary Wharf. Tickets are £10-£40.

Cabot Place, 9.45pm.

3. Eat Japanese at Ippudo

The new Japanese restaurant opened on Friday, July 10 at Crossrail Place, serving a wide array of authentic dishes. We recommend the Shiromaru Hakata Classic ramen at £10.

Crossrail Place, open 12pm to 10.30pm
