Three people have been arrested following a “large fight” near Canary Wharf.

Police were called to Pan Peninsula, on Marsh Wall in South Quay , at around 1am on Sunday, February 14, to reports of a fight.

A 27-year-old man suffered a serious injury to his shoulder and another had an injured nose, but according to police both men declined hospital treatment

A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, that officers described as a "small baseball bat."

Another woman and a man, both aged 22, were also arrested on suspicion of assault.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 12.50am on Sunday, February 14, to reports of a fight in Pan Peninsula, South Quay.

"Officers attended and found two men - both believed aged 27 - injured. One had suffered a shoulder injury described as serious, the other an injury to his nose described as moderate.

"Both were seen by a paramedic but declined to be taken to hospital.

"Detectives from Tower Hamlet's CID are investigating."
