SV Tenacious is in West India South Dock until Friday, July 3 and will be welcoming guests onto her decks during her stay.

She will host a small event on Tuesday, June 30, with Trinity House – a corporation that focuses on the safety of shipping and the well being of seafarers.

Trinity House members will meet a cadet who is set to go sailing with the ship, which is designed to accommodate disabled sailors, on a year-long training exercise.

According to Isle of Dogs Life, Tenacious and her sister ship the Lord Nelson are regular visitors to West India Dock.

Tenacious is owned by the Jubilee Sailing Trust – a charity that was created by teacher and sailor Christopher Rudd, who wanted the disabled children he taught to have the same experiences as able-bodied students.
