The Summer Screen is returning to Canary Wharf just in time for the upcoming feast of sport this season.

The giant TV will be installed and switched on at Canada Square Park on Monday, June 27.

Canary Wharf workers will be able to enjoy a range of sporting events over the summer, showing Wimbledon, F1, the 145th British Open Golf Championship and the eagerly awaited Rio 2016 Olympics.

Euro 2016 will not be screened.

The TV will stay up throughout the summer and, besides the programme of live action sport, will feature films, entertainment, news and cultural events.

As well as enjoying the competitive spirit on-screen, watchers will be able to take advantage of the amenities surrounding the park, including picnics from Tom’s Kitchen, Waitrose and Wahaca’s Mexican street kitchen.

And for those who want to celebrate or commiserate, there are several bars and restaurants nearby like The Parlour, Roka, Canteen and Plateau, Bar and Grill.
