An airline that prides itself on “a very personal service” and the convenience of its timetable is offering connections to Switzerland from London City Airport.

Skywork Airlines operates flights to Bern via Basel on a 31-seater plane upholstered in leather.

In addition to the comfortable surroundings each passenger is offered an iPad for the flight, which can be used for games, destination information or shopping.

Skywork Airlines head of aviation Joy Aleksic said: “We offer a very personal service.

“We do 14 flights a week from London City Airport offering business passengers times that are convenient to get to Switzerland for meetings and lunches, but also we do a lunchtime flight for leisure passengers that want to relax in Bern or go for a skiing holiday.

“Bern is also a hub for onward connections to Europe and the Mediterranean.”

The airline flies out of London City Airport (around 15 minutes on the DLR from Canary Wharf), with routes taking just under two and half hours to Bern – after a quick drop off in Basel .

Flights start at £92 to Basel and £102 to Bern.
