Dum Dum Doughnuts, which has recently replaced Krispy Kreme at Harrods, will soon be easier to buy in Dubai than Canary Wharf, the company’s founder has said.

Paul Hurley - who is also a fully fledged doughnut chef - said: “We have so many customers coming into our shops who work in Canary Wharf and we send couriers with deliveries to Canary Wharf most days. It seems there is only one option of doughnut shop there, which doesn’t seem fair.

“There are no other doughnuts like Dum Dums – we even have a patent for the way that they are made (baked not deep-fried).

“Also, we have agreed an exclusive deal with Nude Espresso which means we will be offering artisan coffee as well.

“We have just completed a franchise deal for the whole of the UAE and will be launching in other cities around the world. Soon it will be easier to buy Dum Dums in Dubai than it is in Canary Wharf.”
