CCTV footage of two men has been released in connection with a robbery in Shoreditch.

At around 2am on Saturday, February 13, a 24-year-old man became lost attempting to meet friends in the area.

He asked two men for directions and they told him they would show him as they were going that way.

The victim became suspicious after he was led down back streets and told them he would get a taxi home instead, at which point the men asked him for money.

Feeling threatened, the victim went to a nearby cash point on Commercial Street and withdrew cash, which he gave to them before walking away and getting a taxi.

He then realised his bank card was missing from his wallet and when he called the bank to cancel the card, they informed him attempts to withdraw cash had been made.
