Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Tower Hamlets.

A man in his 50s was killed on Saturday afternoon (April 30) after a collision between a motorcycle and a bus on Roman Road close to the junction with Driffield Road, E3. He was pronounced dead at 3.06pm.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended

The Route 8 bus stopped at the scene and the road was closed. There were no reports of any passengers being injured and no arrests were made.

A spokesman said: “Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification is yet to take place.

“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision.”
