Detectives in Greenwich are hunting a suspect following a carjacking and syringe attack in the borough.

A 59-year-old man had left his black BMW parked in Vernham Road with another man in the passenger seat on Sunday, October 25 at 12.40pm.

The suspect then drove off in the car towards Genesta Road and the car’s owner called the police.

Later the same day officers received reports of a man threatening to harm a 45-year-old woman with a syringe at a petrol station in Plumstead Common Road between 12.20pm and 12.30pm.
