Two people have been injured after a police car smashed into a car in Greenwich.
The pair were treated for minor injuries after their black Seat Leon was hit on Woolwich Road at the junction of Marlton Street at around 4am on Sunday, July 5.
Police said they were responding to an emergency call and that both officers were not injured in the crash.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “At approximately 3.55am, a marked police car was in collision with a black Seat Leon on Woolwich Road, at the junction with Marlton Street, SE10.
“The police vehicle was answering an emergency call at the time of the collision. Blue lights and sirens were in operation.
“The two occupants of the Seat car attended hospital as a precaution; they were not seriously injured.
“The two police officers did not require hospital treatment.”
The Met’s Traffic Unit will investigate what happened.
