Newham police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to identify in connection with a burglary at Plaistow.

Officers were called to the incident on Thursday, March 24 at around 2.10am after a security guard reported a break-in at Southern Road Primary School in Eastern Road.

The camera outside the school caught a man picking up a brick and using it to smash a glass panel on a door to gain entry.

Minutes later a man was seen by a security guard jumping over the fence into Southern Road.

Inside police found cupboards and trolleys had been opened and three laptops were missing.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark hooded jacket with his hood up at the time of the incident.
