Peter Andre has failed to sell enough tickets for his gig at The O2 in March.

The singer turned reality TV star has so far sold 2,700 tickets for the 20,000 capacity venue in North Greenwich.

The slow sales have lead the star’s team to look to smaller music venue Indigo - which sits within The O2’s massive dome.

A source told The Sun : “There’s real panic. Whether Pete plays to 20,000 or 7,000 the production costs of playing a venue that size are the same.

“It could cause a real dent in earnings. It’s been suggested he plays the smaller O2 Indigo, housing 2,800, but nobody wants to admit defeat.”

The star had surely hoped his recent stint on Strictly Come Dancing would increase his audience at his Come Swing With Me show, but his appearance on the BBC 1 programme was littered with controversy.

Pete’s rep told The Mirror : “Since Peter started Strictly there have been so many false and ridiculous rumours going around. The story of Peter being upset backstage at Strictly is completely ridiculous and 100% untrue. Peter’s tour was planned before he started Strictly.”
