You will soon be able to order hotel room service using just emojis at a hotel in Royal Victoria Dock.
Aloft London Excel will debut Aloft TiGi (Text It. Get It.) - the world’s first emoji-only room service menu.
Kicking off in London from December 21, guests will be able to order a selection of items from room service via text from the Aloft TiGi Emoji Room Service Menu – an emoji-led selection of packages that can be easily conveyed via pictures.
Guests simply text the corresponding emojis from the Aloft TiGi Emoji Room Service Menu to the hotel dedicated TiGi phone line, along with their room number, to receive their chosen item.
Among the packages available are The Sightseer, which includes two bottles of water, two bananas and a London guide book for £15; The Re:Fresh (£12.50), which includes toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, shaving cream and deodorant or The Munchies (£7), which includes a Coca-Cola, a bag of crisps, a Snickers and a chocolate brownie.
From January 4 to February 20, The W XYZ Bar at the east London hotel will also offer a limited edition emoji-led menu of cocktails and snacks, a digital emoji-themed slot machine game available online and in the hotel’s RE:MIX Lounge for guests to play with the chance of winning a selection of prizes such as food and drink menu items or Bliss Spa products.
