Police are hoping to gather more information on the final hours of Borex Tatsa's life after his body was discovered in the River Thames on February 28.
Borex's mother said in a statement: "Borex was a much loved member of our family. He was a quiet person with a lovely smile. If anyone knows anything at all about what happened to him please come forward and tell the police as we are desperate to know what happened to him."
He was last seen on CCTV in Southwark at 1.09am on February 8. His rucksack was found nearby, on the same day, in a bin outside The Old Thameside Inn.
Detective Inspector Ian Fleming, from Hackney's public protection unit, said: "The circumstances surrounding the discovery of Borex's body in The River Thames remain unexplained at this stage, with all options remaining open. I would like to appeal to any witnesses or any person who has information in relation to this incident, to come forward and speak to a member of the investigation team."
